Rojor. Love is the strongest force

Taking an interesting blend of some of the more dub-meets-pop aspects of the Police, and combining it with tripped out (Tricky-esque) laid back grooves and textures, the new one from Rojor is certainly something that aims for, and hits, the end-of-summer vibes.  Relaxed and contemplative, and mixing aspects of gentle electronica into the sound, the strong sound to Rojo’s work is the single’s ability to give off the feeling of an Ibiza/Thailand chilled out, beach vibe, yet to not fall into the style of something that becomes background noise and forgettable.  Indeed, by not trying too hard, and indeed getting awfully close at points to Let Loose’s ‘Crazy for you’, ‘Love is the Strongest force’ manages to find a groove, and stay in it.  This isn’t a single trying to be about finding background, chill-out, grooves – this is a single demanding to be considered a gentle, pop-based, sound to be heard.
