So the forced nostalgia in the look/sound/haircuts/imagery of this turned me off initially. How can you be genuinely original when you’re so obviously copying the past? But the Beach Boys/ Teenage Fanclub fade outs from 2.15 made me rethink absolutely everything. What a lovely idea, and a sensational last minute.
