A/WHeatus/InMe

With a string of impressive live shows (Idles, Gaz Coombes, The Blockheads, etc.) Newcastle’s Riverside seems to be setting high standards not just for itself, but all other venues across the North East; a feat which can only be good for local music lovers.

Sandwiched in between some incredible shows running from now until the start of the New Year comes a triple bill of particular note which sees forceful rockers A, Wheatus and Inme, each worthy headliners on their own terms, join forces for a tour de force.

Promising to play classic ‘Hi-Fi Serious’ album in full, and joined by Mcfly’s Dougie Poynter on bass, A frontman Jason Perry is looking forward to creating an unforgettable show “We’re so excited to finally do a proper tour and to be playing ‘Hi-Fi Serious’ in full. The only downside to playing the album in order is that we have to open with ‘Nothing’ and it takes a brave band to open with their biggest song.”

A will be supported by Brooklyn pop-indie-rock heroes Wheatus, with charismatic frontman Brendan B Brown, whose eponymously-titled 2000 debut album produced the huge worldwide hit single “Teenage Dirtbag”.

Additional heavyweight support comes from as well as InMe with their formidable alt-rock sound.  InMe’s Dave McPherson adds; “We’re thrilled to be a part of this incredible tour & it’s the perfect line-up for us to get our teeth back in the game! We have exciting news incoming and sharing a stage with such legendary bands is a dream scenario for us to launch the next chapter of InMe.”

A + Wheatus + InMe will play Newcastle’s Riverside on 15th November.  Tickets available at http://www.riversidenewcastle.co.uk/live-events/
