Starting off with a gentle, acoustic, opening offering suggestions and rumours about the activities of a former lover, New Tattoo builds from a wistful reflection of lost love into a rousing self-help manifesto about moving away from previous relationships into a more optimistic, positive, terrain.  Soaring in self-confidence, the beauty of New Tattoo is in its production and the way its soundscape matches the story of the song; as our main character becomes more self-assured about the future, and what needs to be done, the track cleverly builds from its acoustic opening to its final crescendo of a pop/rock all out play.  Cleverly written and clearly constructed, New Tattoo is one complete piece of work which showcases the energetic changes we go through as we stop focusing on what we don’t want, but rather concentrate on the things we do want.
