Those two actions demonstrate why music should be more than just t-shirt sales, magazine covers and inches of press.

In that context, it’s hard to write about mainstream pop acts- even if they do make some good music.

Foxes was great, her music used 80s style synths, her tracks had a good beat, she danced well, she should have a lot of credit for writing her own material.

But she’s no Dammers.
