Demonstrating his ability to embrace the outer edges, Grant’s music, as well as his live show, has often used contrast as the focus for it’s central message.  Combining light and dark themes of humanity, as well as electronic and acoustic instrumentation, tonight Grant carves his musical identity out of his apparent love for the complexity of being human; illustrated by the way he places acoustic songs about deep loss next to electronic, dance-floor heavy, moments of euphoria.  At times sat still, at other moments shamelessly cutting some rug, Grant’s show is a masterclass in not only recreating his fine song-writing but also in presenting his songs in a style which matches the type of behaviour he so often writes about.
