Devastator. 9.4.23. Little Buildings.

If tonight show’s you anything, it’s that there’s perhaps nothing more appropriate for an Easter Sunday than a round of gore, speed metal and loud, kick-ass, rock.

Kicked off intense three-piece metal/punk act Wolfbastard, tonight flies out of the traps, with the Wolves delivering some serious metalcore assault including highlights ‘Buckfast Blasphemies’, ‘North West Sex Pest’, and (of course) ‘Drink Fucking Beer, Hail Fucking Satan’.  Driven by some serious drumming and relentless rhythms, the Wolves are the perfect support for tonight’s headliners, Devastator, who arrive clearly hyper to play the final show of their tour in style, and (seemingly) desperate to turn the PA up even louder and push the audio onslaught even further.

Coupled with their off-the-cuff slogan of ‘no revelation, just riffs’, and some insane lead guitar work done by Richard Bateman, Devastator are on fine form tonight flying through highlights including Howling night, Death forever and Spiritual warfare.  As tonight shows, today is a holy day in more than one way.  Great stuff.
