The best pop is the kind with big melodies and clear thoughts. Thanks, in part, to their past writing teams and their choice of covers, Steps have that in droves.  What they may lack in stage presence or originality is certainly made up through their upbeat, disco driven, feel good, tracks.
They’ll never make it past a respectful shrug, but the fans seemed to love it and, grudgingly, I’ll accept that everyone deserves an equal opinion when it comes to music. There are of course those opinions that are first among equals…
